One of Australia’s leading and most innovative builders, is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive National Sales Manager to develop a strategy and drive the delivery of the projected Sales Plan through leadership of a winning sales team.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and drive the national corporate sales plan;
Motivate and lead state sales managers and BDM managers to profitably manage their portfolios and secure new business;
Work closely with the marketing team on the development and refinement of products to target the client base
Develop relevant sales tools and new initiatives to assist the team reach targets;
Take a structured approach to prospecting for new business and achieve separate new business and existing business revenue and profit targets;
Work with the team and develop detailed strategic account plans for identified top customers;
Form relevant relationships with national industry bodies and networks and attend trade shows and conferences as required to boost companies profile;
Assist management with ongoing sales and system related projects;
Deliver national report for the executive team and be prepared to rigorously support and defend performance and results;
Ensure at contract renewal that pricing is consistent with the agreed volume and usage patterns.;
Submit Sales budgets and targets as and when required;
Ensure the team fully utilises our CRM tool to assist in managing and growing relationships.
To be suitable for this role
Understanding of a broad range of fundamental business processes including accounting, customer service, sales, HR, business planning, etc;
Experience building high achieving teams in a B2B environment;
Significant B2B experience in both account management and new business generation roles;
Previous experience leading staff and the ability to coach and mentor staff;
Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships at all levels of the business;
An understanding and application of the use of metrics to provide accountability and measure perform;
Advanced strategic sales capability;
Strong project management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
Exceptional customer service skills and drive to deliver quality outcomes for both external and internal customers.
